Many of the people we work with are managing a lot behind the scenes. They may be navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, or relationship challenges while still showing up for work, family, and daily responsibilities. Our virtual therapy services provide a space to slow down, feel supported, and explore what's beneath the surface. With flexible scheduling, including evening appointments, therapy can fit into your life—not the other way around.
Our work goes beyond symptom management. Through a relational and trauma-informed approach, we help you understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, strengthen your connection with yourself, and create meaningful, lasting change. At Havenwood Psychotherapy, therapy is about more than feeling better—it's about building a life that feels more balanced, connected, and aligned with who you want to be.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
At Havenwood Psychotherapy, therapy is collaborative, relational, and tailored to your needs. Together with your therapist, you’ll explore what may be contributing to challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, or relationship difficulties, including the patterns that can feel hard to shift on your own.
From there, you’ll work together to build insight, develop practical tools, and create meaningful change in a way that feels supportive and sustainable for you. Our approach is trauma-informed and grounded in understanding both the emotional and relational roots of what you’re experiencing.
Many people come to therapy feeling like they’ve tried to “figure it out” on their own or in past therapy without getting to the deeper layers. At Havenwood Psychotherapy, we focus on going beyond surface-level coping to help you understand what’s driving your experiences and how to shift them.
You don’t need to be in crisis to start therapy. Whether things feel overwhelming or simply not the way you want them to be, therapy can be a space to slow down, gain clarity, and move toward a more grounded and connected version of your life.
-
Finding the right therapist is an important part of the process, and it’s normal for it to take a bit of exploration. At Havenwood Psychotherapy, we encourage you to consider both practical fit and personal connection when choosing a therapist.
You might look at areas of focus, such as anxiety, ADHD, trauma, depression, or relationship concerns, as well as the therapist’s approach and style. Just as important is how you feel when you speak with them—feeling heard, respected, and understood is often a strong indicator of a good fit.
We offer a free 15-minute consultation to help with this process. It’s an opportunity to ask questions, get a sense of your therapist, and see whether it feels like a comfortable match before beginning ongoing sessions.
If it doesn’t feel like the right fit, that’s okay too. We can help guide you toward another therapist within or outside our practice so you can find the support that feels right for you.

What are your fees?
Our fees for individual therapy range from $110 to $150 per session, depending on the therapist you work with. Couples therapy sessions range from $180 to $270 per session, based on the therapist’s experience and session length.
You can view each therapist’s individual rates on their profile page for more details.
If you have questions about fees or which service is the best fit for you, you’re welcome to bring this up during your free 15-minute consultation.

Psychotherapy is covered by many extended health insurance plans across Ontario. To confirm, we always recommend checking directly with your insurance provider to see if you’re covered for Psychotherapy Services and/or sessions with a Registered Psychotherapist.
Please note: Only select members on our team offer direct billing. Please bring this up in your consultation if you need direct billing.
-
We ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your session. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will be subject to the full session fee.
-
We understand that cost can be a barrier to accessing therapy, and we don’t want finances to stand in the way of support.
Havenwood Psychotherapy offers a limited number of sliding scale spaces for individuals who require reduced fees. We also offer an affordable therapy program provided by master’s-level student therapists under supervision. This program will be available starting in September and is designed to make therapy more accessible while still providing high-quality, supported care.
If you’re unsure what option might be the best fit for your situation, we encourage you to reach out or book a free 15-minute consultation so we can talk through what’s available and help guide you toward the right support.
-
In Ontario, psychotherapy services provided in private practice are generally not covered by OHIP. This means that sessions at Havenwood Psychotherapy are self-funded or may be covered through extended health insurance benefits, depending on your plan.
Therapy fees may also be considered a tax-deductible medical expense. We provide detailed receipts that can be used when preparing your taxes, which can be helpful for individuals without extended health benefits.
We recommend checking with your insurance provider to confirm your coverage for psychotherapy or registered psychotherapist services, as plans can vary widely.
If you have questions about fees or coverage, you’re welcome to bring this up during your free 15-minute consultation, and we’re happy to help you explore your options.

At Havenwood Psychotherapy, we focus on creating a supportive and comfortable space from the start. Together, we’ll begin to understand your concerns, identify patterns that may be showing up in your life, and discuss what a helpful direction for therapy might look like moving forward.
