When communication breaks down and the same conflicts keep repeating, it can leave your family feeling disconnected, frustrated, or unsure how to move forward. Virtual family therapy offers a supportive space to better understand the patterns affecting your relationships, improve communication, and create a stronger sense of connection within your family.
At Havenwood Psychotherapy, we offer virtual family therapy across Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, supporting families as they navigate conflict, life transitions, emotional challenges, communication difficulties, and changes in family dynamics.

-
In your first session, we explore what’s been happening in your relationship, identify patterns, and begin creating a plan for how to move forward together.
-
You don't have to wait until your relationship is in crisis. Family counselling can be helpful when you’re experiencing ongoing conflict, communication difficulties, emotional disconnection, trust concerns, or major life transitions. It can also be valuable for families who simply want to strengthen their relationship during a difficult life transition.
-
Repeating the same arguments can be a sign that there are deeper relationship patterns underneath the conflict. Couples therapy can help you identify these patterns, understand each other's needs, communicate more effectively, and develop healthier ways to navigate disagreements.
-
Family therapy can be helpful for families of all kinds, including parents and children, siblings, blended families, and families navigating major changes. You don't need to be in constant conflict to benefit from therapy — sometimes families seek support simply because they want to communicate better and feel more connected.
-
Families may seek support with communication difficulties, conflict, emotional regulation, parenting challenges, grief, life transitions, relationship struggles, stress, and changing family dynamics. Therapy is tailored to the needs and goals of your family.
-
Not necessarily. The best approach depends on your family's circumstances and what you're hoping to work on. Your therapist can help determine who should be involved and whether individual, parent-focused, or family sessions may be most helpful.
-
Yes. Therapy can help families recognize patterns that contribute to recurring conflict, understand the emotions underneath those patterns, and develop more effective ways of communicating and responding to one another.
