Meet the Team
Amanda Elston, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
I’m Amanda, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) based in Ontario. My journey to becoming a therapist started from a simple but powerful belief: everyone deserves to feel seen, understood, and empowered- especially during life’s most challenging moments. Many people come to me feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or misunderstood. My goal is to provide a safe, judgement-free space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, understand how past experiences shape the present, and develop tools that help you live a more balanced and fulfilling life.
I take a client-centered, neurodivergent-affirming, and trauma-informed approach, tailoring therapy to your unique needs and goals. This means I don’t just focus on symptoms- I focus on you as a whole person and the life you want to create. I draw from evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, IFS, ACT, EMDR, and the Gottman Method. I also integrate attachment theory and relational work to help you build insight into patterns to improve relationships, and create lasting change.
I believe therapy is most effective when it’s collaborative, personalized, and compassionate. My role is to guide you, help you build awareness, and support you in learning tools that work in your daily life.
Your journey matters. Therapy is a brave step toward understanding yourself better, improving your relationships, and creating meaningful change. If you are ready to make that step, I offer a free 15 minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
