Grow into the therapist you’re meant to be.

Our Culture

The way we work together matters just as much as the work we do with clients. We’ve built a culture that is:

Supportive, Not Hierarchical

  • You won’t be left figuring things out alone, but you also won’t be micromanaged.

  • We value collaboration, open dialogue, and honest reflection.

Growth-Oriented

  • You’re not expected to be perfect.

  • You are expected to be engaged, reflective, and willing to stretch into the discomfort that real learning requires

Human First

  • We don’t separate the “therapist” from the person.

  • Your presence, your emotional awareness, and your authenticity are all part of your development here.

Our Approach

Trauma-Informed

We recognize that many challenges are rooted in past experiences. Our work focuses on safety, regulation, and understanding—not pathology.

Relational & Human-Centred

The therapeutic relationship is central to our work. We show up as engaged, present, and authentic, because meaningful change happens in connection, not in isolation.

Evidence-Based & Integrative

Our work is grounded in approaches that are informed by research on memory, emotion, and change—while remaining flexible to each client’s unique needs and pace.

Who We Serve

Our clients are often thoughtful, self-aware individuals who feel stuck in patterns they can’t seem to shift on their own.

You’ll gain experience working with:

  • Anxiety and chronic overthinking

  • Depression and emotional disconnection

  • Trauma and complex relational wounds

  • Self-worth and identity struggles

  • Relationship dynamics and attachment patterns

  • Life transitions, burnout, and overwhelm

  • Couples & Individual therapy

About You

We’re less focused on having the “perfect” resume and more interested in how you show up.

This practicum may be a strong fit if you are:

  • Emotionally attuned and relationally aware

  • Curious about your own internal process

  • Open to feedback and self-reflection

  • Willing to move beyond surface-level work

  • Grounded, responsible, and committed to your growth

  • Interested in developing depth and confidence as a therapist

You don’t need to have everything figured out.

But you do need to be willing to engage fully in the process of becoming.

About Your Site Supervisor

This practicum is led by Amanda Elston, therapist and founder of the practice.

Amanda is a graduate of Yorkville University, where she completed her Master’s in Counselling Psychology. Her work is grounded in an experiential, relational approach, with a focus on helping clients move beyond insight into meaningful emotional change.

Her path into this field was shaped by a deep interest in understanding why people feel stuck, and what actually helps them shift.

As a Site Supervisor, Amanda is actively involved in supporting students as they begin working with clients and developing their clinical skills in real-world settings.

You can expect her to be:

  • Present and engaged in your learning process

  • Thoughtful and honest in her feedback

  • Supportive, while also encouraging growth

  • Focused on helping you develop your own voice as a therapist
